Pecan launches new product development programme

Pecan Deluxe Candy has announced that it is increasing its investment with a new product development programme.

The aim of the initiative is to increase the number of orders the company can produce from new emerging markets.

By investing in staff's technical knowledge and equipment, Pecan believes it can guarantee improved product traceability.

Increased technical resources will allow Pecan to provide more information about food types and their origins, especially in the case of fair trade.

Managing Director, Allan Dew explained the opportunities the programme will open up: "There are exciting times ahead for the company – the significant recent growth has seen the company invest in its new product development programme as well as better equipping the factory to cope with the increasing number of orders. Our company recognition across Europe is also growing and so we will be able to start developing flavours to match different regional tastes."

Pecan specialise in the development and supply of food ingredients including sauces, fillings, nut pralines, dessert toppings, specialist ice creams and chocolate products.
