New menu solution for pubs launched

Nestlé Professional is launching its Maggi Menu Solutions ‘Pubs Planning Tool’, specially designed to help publicans with quick and efficient menu planning.

Alternatively available as a CD, it contains information that aims to add value to establishments.

Tasting recipes are all accompanied by nutritional data, along with insight and advice on the importance of food in pubs. With health and wellness remaining a key focus for all food outlets, there is also advice on how to encourage customers to embrace healthy eating.

Special dietary requirements are also catered for, as well as menus for common allergies, which are becoming an increasing challenge for chefs.

Each recipe can also be downloaded in PDF format and shared with the full kitchen team or filed in their recipe book, whilst high resolution images can also be printed for use on menus and posters to tempt customers.

Marketing director for Nestlé Professional, Martin Lines said: "There are more than one billion meals eaten a year in British pubs. However, there are undoubtedly challenges ahead as the tough economic situation impacts on consumer spending in the coming months, compounded by rising costs in food and energy.

"It's now more important than ever for publicans to get their offering right and we believe Nestlé Professional has a vital role as a leading supply partner to help our customers achieve business growth and profitability. That's why we've invested in Maggi Menu Solutions – we believe it can genuinely add value."
