Does your product have what it takes?

Producers within the food and drink industry are being invited to enter next year’s Product of the Year award – before the 30 June closing date.

The competition is open to all companies. Any product or product line launched within the past 18 months can be entered into the 2009 awards by logging onto www.productoftheyear.co.uk/register.asp.

More than 40% of shoppers recognise and trust the Product of the Year logo, with 49% stating they are likely or more likely to purchase products with the logo.

Mike Nolan, chief executive officer of Product of the Year Management Ltd, explained: "From air fresheners to alcohol and breakfast cereals to beauty, customers all over the country recognise our logo as being a seal of approval on innovation, which is voted for 'by the people for the people'.

Winners are voted for by consumers in a national survey of over 12,000 households.
