Boisdale wins Restaurant Of The Year title

Boisdale of Belgravia, London’s Scottish venture, has been named ‘Restaurant Of The Year’ at the Whisky Magazine’s Icons Of Whisky Awards which took place last night.

The eatery was awarded for its "delectable whisky list and with a staff who exude passion for the good stuff." The magazine also noted Boisdale's commitment to the whisky cause with its offering of a range of own bottlings.

Ranald Macdonald, Proprietor of Boisdale Restaurants, commented: "At Boisdale, we have always prided ourselves on our extensive selection of whiskies and the way we serve them. The staff and I are thrilled that the judges have recognised our passion for the cause, and that of our customers in imbibing and enjoying the water of life."

Boisdale fought off stiff competition from restaurants in Paris, Toronto and Mumbai.
